Have I mentioned how excited we are about moving? Well, we are. It's just the moving part that is hard work. Not packing boxes, because the movers will be doing that, but the planning of it all....when we leave, what we need to pack to travel there, all the switching over of things, planning the trip. Arrggg - too many details for my little brain!
Had a great day today. Last person came through to do an estimate on the move. Now we just have to submit the quotes to the diocesan office. Then, our landlord rented our suite so we won't have to do any more showings. All good. But nothing beats how we spent the afternoon. The Donisons came by on their way from Fort Saint John to Victoria! Paul, Monika, Anabel and Sophie-Jane - yay!!! We finally got to meet our God-daughter Soph, and Isaac was thrilled to get to play with Anabel again. It's been 6 months since we've seen them, and it was so good to reconnect. We went for lunch (white spot may never be the same again), then back to our place for a few hours. We had so much to talk about - Paul's church, how the job is going, how the kids are doing, how Monika is adjusting to life as the rector's wife. Hilarious to hear Rob and Paul talking vestments. I've really missed them since they moved north. Monika, Anabel, Isaac and I had great days together when the guys were at school. I don't think I've ever seen Isaac play with anyone quite like he does with Anabel. Fort Saint John isn't that far from Meadow Lake....well, at least the drive isn't through mountains! Can't wait until they are back in town for Norah's baptism.
Hmmm, Norah's baptism. Gotta think what we are going to do for that. Beyond the service that is. Family lunch? Cake at church? Decisions to make....Doing anything at our place will pretty much be out, since we will be in the middle of packing the books and will have the Donisons staying over the night before. I'm sure we will think something out. All this thinking will do me in!!
8 pm and Isaac is wiped out. No nap today with all the playing. He was totally exhausted by dinner time, and I'm with him. I could really use an early night myself.
