Did my civic duty. Voted. It's not easy voting for the least offensive party, instead of making a choice for something I can really go for. Nobody was really *winning* my vote in this election. It was more of who was making me the least mad. Couldn't find much info on our local Liberal candidate, all of his material was rather vague in terms of promises and ideas. His one major *marketing* point of view was that he is Native - which is a big deal here. I'm in a huge (land-wise) riding, with a very large percentage of the population being Native. But really, that was all he had to offer from what I could see.
So I voted Conservative. I just hope we get a change of government. More variety. I would love to see some Green Party candidates win. More NDP. Less Bloc, because I really don't want to break up the country. Then again, I was born in Quebec...would that make me a dual citizen? lol
Oh - brush with fame....went to vote at the same time as our current MP. Wouldn't have really recognized him (need new glasses), but the SUV with his name on the side helped me place his face. :)
