and the pox marches on

sick girls. one with an eye infection that I'm convinced is a pox on her eyeball. the other with an ear infection. took me 3 kids to get an ear infection. not bad... one trip to emergency after a phone call to the provincial health line to see if it was worth it. I hate that we only have emergency care available on weekends. At least one of my favorite doctors was in, he ran my spinal during Ruby's birth.

So glad we got them checked out though. Norah didn't sleep much at all last night. She kept trying to scratch and was feverish and hard to settle. I was up most of the night with her cuddled on the couch. So grateful for the Olympics on late night tv. Ruby screamed for about 3 hours straight last night, she's never done that before...I think she cried more last night than she has in her entire life combined. After the trip to the hospital, we managed to get naps out of the girls. Especially after they had a dose of tylenol and benadryl. Ruby has barely nursed today, and I'm really not enjoying that.

Baked cookies with Isaac today, oatmeal cranberry and raisin, with added flax seed. yummy. I'm feeling so badly that Isaac is getting ignored in all this sickness. It's a good thing he's all into playing hockey in the basement. Helped when I had both girls crying on my lap while Rob was out at an appointment.

7:20 and Norah is asleep already. She was begging to go to bed. I just hope she sleeps better tonight. Ruby is flaked out on my lap. Isaac is dancing around the kitchen while we listen to music. Tomorrow, Isaac will go to church with Rob and get to go to Sunday school. Another Sunday missed. At least I will get to listen to the Vinyl Cafe at noon.
