we have hit 40 with the humidex. topped out over 100. it is unbearable. the sun beats down on our little house, heating it up even more than the outside. we are moving downstairs. Rob's office transformed into a little dorm for 2 children, and we are even running fans down there because it is still too warm. We are beyond grateful for a second tv and cable outlet in the basement. This weather is supposed to run until Wednesday. We may never come back up again...there is an old fridge down there, a bathroom, and we can cook in the clothes dryer, right?

I'm pretty sure a guy wrote a cook book a while back where he steamed fish in a dishwasher and broiled meat on the engine block from his car...must be something you can do in a dryer! On the other hand, are you sure you want to heat your food right now?
