Funny how your idea of romance changes after kids.
- quick kisses while the kids giggle over breakfast
- Rob getting up with the kids so I can stay longer in bed
- a hug while passing in the hall...and a small pair of arms around the knees joins in
- snuggling on the couch while nursing the baby
- deep conversations in the van while kids snooze in the back
- collapsing onto the couch together after kids are in bed
- sharing the day's highlights in bed at the end of the day, but whispering in order not to wake the sleeping baby next to you
- subtle conversation hints that go way over the kids heads
Sure it's not all candlelit dinners and walks along the beach - those aren't safe anymore with kids around! But it brings out a whole new dimension to the love you have with your spouse.
